Killstreak Roy is a dynamic performing artist graduating with a 4.0 from college, showcasing a blend of storytelling and singing to create a captivating experience for the audience.
After becoming a "Certified Entertainer," at Kennesaw State University, KSR is ready to bring his unique sound to fans all over. His journey in the music industry has been fueled by a mindset of authenticity, creativity, and embracing the unknown, setting him apart from other musicians in the business.
KSR is a singer, rapper, dancer, actor, freestyler, super athlete, professional gamer, and has written over 200 songs.
My music is a collection of experiences, emotions, and lessons I have learned that aim to help others navigate themselves, through art and entertainment.
What I want people to learn from my music is that they are not alone; That whatever they have gone through does not define them; That we all go through similar experiences in life and that is the beauty in being human; That we can relate to one another.
I want my music to teach them to be their authentic selves. To love themselves and never seek other people’s approval and validation in place of your own truth; To never change your authenticity for someone else's comfortability because it is a lot easier to become someone else, than to live as your authentic self.
What makes Killstreak Roy "the 1%"?
What makes Killstreak Roy the 1% and different from most artists is his ability to write stories that not only capture his own experiences, but the experiences of individuals he has conversed with.
Growing up, Anthony Carruthers (Killstreak Roy) initially wanted to become a psychiatrist. He was kind and driven by the thought of helping others. As time passed, he later became the 'therapist friend' who would guide his family, friends, and even strangers through problems they experienced in life— those mainly stemming from relationship problems. This became the foundation of Killstreak Roy's artistry. He is so empathetic that when people told him about their experiences and the pain they suffered from those experiences, he was able to guide, relate, and emphatically feel their pain as if he were them himself – and turn their feelings into emotional cathartic songs. People often say, “put yourself into other people’s shoes” but Killstreak puts himself into other people's words and creates songs to evoke emotional catharsis.
